Wedding Singer and Sax Player: A Busy September on the Costa del Sol

As a wedding singer and sax player on the Costa del Sol and beyond, I’m lucky to be part of some very special days, and this month was full of them.

One of the highlights was Anette and Karl’s wedding at the Rock Hotel in Gibraltar. I started with the sax in the nearby Botanical Gardens, playing on a bridge overlooking the ceremony area as guests started to arrived. It’s hard to beat that setting. Later, I swapped the sax for the microphone, singing the classics and then taking over the decks to keep the dance floor busy into the night. Thank you, Anette and Karl, for trusting me with so much of your day.  They sent me this lovely message afterwards:

“A few pictures of you Tom. I hope you got our review. Thank you so much for such an incredible performance throughout our wedding. You really helped to make our celebration so magical. Hope to see you soon again in Spain. Annette & Karl ❤️”.

Then it was over to Estepona for Jade and Ant’s wedding at Tikitano by Divot. While the guests enjoyed their drinks on the lawn by the sea, I played a warm-up set to put everyone in the mood.  A little sunshine, sea air, a glass in hand and a bit of Sinatra is a pretty good way to start a celebration. Jade and Ant, thanks for having me, it was such a fun celebration.

What I love most about weddings is how different each one is. A garden, a hotel, a beach club by the sea: every couple has their own style, and my job is to match it. Sometimes that means swing and sparkle, sometimes a relaxed background soundtrack, and sometimes a bit of both.

To everyone who celebrated their special days this month, thank you for your kindness, your dancing and your fantastic company.

If you’re planning a wedding or party in Spain, Gibraltar or further afield and would like live music, singing or sax and DJ, I’d love to hear about it. Get in touch and let’s make something memorable.

Tom

ps. Annette and Karl’s full review is here on my Wedding page because in a few short words I think it really gets to the heart of how I work and what I like to bring to the party!
